I admit that this project was no great feat to put together.....it's definitely one that's been seen here and there in craftland.....you definitely don't need to be a rocket scientist to pull it off.....and it's one that I think is right up there with sliced bread (well, may be not sliced bread, but it is really cool). What's great about what I call 'Scrabble Thoughts,' is anyone who saunters by can put together some words of wisdom, or deep thoughts for all to ponder over. On Monday it told the world....."baby it's cold inside".....as in this house is usually
Scrabble Thoughts
You'll Need
- Scrabble tiles
- 2 wooden tile racks
- Liquid Fusion Glue
- Paint
- Foam paintbrush
- Triple Thick Clear Glaze
The first thing that you'll need to do is glue together the two tile racks, then let sit until completely dry. This should take no more than 30 minutes.
Once the glue is dry, paint the glued tile racks with any color that you please. I wanted my tile racks to be similar in color to the bowl that I'm using for the loose tiles. Let dry, then apply a second coat.
Once the second coat of paint is dry, spray a thin coat of the Triple Thick Glaze. I sprayed on 4 thin coats of glaze, making sure to let dry completely between coats. The more coats you apply, the glossier the finish will be.
Here's the bowl I'm using for the loose Scrabble tiles.
VOILA!!! Scrabble Thoughts on display!
