Caramelized Baked Chicken

Print

WOW!!!  This was super easy.....super tasty.....and super finger-lickin' good!!!  I really thought with the ingredients listed the dish would have an Asian flavor.....but that was so not the case.  It has a nice sweetness.....without being overly sweet.  The meat was tender, tender, tender.....and lest I forget.....the aromas wafting throughout the house when this dish was baking were heavenly!

You'll Need
  • 1-1/2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Coat a 9"x13" baking dish with a non-stick cooking spray (will help make clean-up easier).

Rinse and pat dry the chicken wings.  Arrange the wings in the baking dish.

In a small bowl, add the oil, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper, and blend well.

Pour the sauce over the wings.

Place the wings in the oven, and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.  At which point, your sauce will be caramelized.

Plate up the wings, and spoon some of the sauce over the top!  YUM!!!
