Día de los Muertos Skull

Print

It's official.....my Día de los Muertos (aka Day of the Dead) skull is done!!!  It took me on and off.....about a week.  The whole intention was to let my creativity take over, and not force myself to create when the creativity wasn't there.....which explains why it took the amount of time that it did.  If you don't get dizzy reading the words in a circle.....that is Hamlet's "Alas, Poor Yorick" speech on the backside of the skull!

I opted not to do this as a project.....with step-by-step directions.....because it's all freehand and spontaneous at best.  I will share with you the materials that I used in case you desire to make your own personal Día de los Muertos skull.  For those of you who'd like more info on how I did the skull.....then please comment and I'll get back to you.

You'll Need
  • Papier-mâché skull (I found mine at Michael's)
  • Acrylic paint (black, gray, white)
  • Black pigment liner (0.3)
  • High gloss clear acrylic sealer (couple coats when complete)

Have a Terrifically Thoughtful Tuesday!!!
