Do you want to drive yourself crazy with hunger?  Then just pop a roast into your crock pot and get ready to smell all the yummy goodness for hours while this culinary delight cooks!!!

Soda Pop Roast
adapted from ???

You'll Need
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (12-ounce) can soda (sweeter the better)
  • 1 (2-3 pound) pork -or- beef roast
  • Handful of baby carrots (optional)

Mix the onion soup mix, canned soup, and soda in the crock pot, until well blended.

Place the roast in the crock pot, making sure to get the soup mixture all over the meat.

Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours for a beef roast -or- 8 to 10 hours for a pork roast.

About 3-4 hours into the cooking time, throw in a handful of carrots, if desired.

  1. That looks amazing...I'm going to have to try that. I make one that has a few more veggies, a packet of pot roast spices and a can of regular soda. It's fabulous.

  2. YUM!!!!!!!!! Oh, this looks so easy! I don't have a crock pot, but I am going to make this in my staub pot in the oven! One thing: I have to find something other than cream of mushroom soup! I hate mushrooms and just wouldn't be able to eat it knowing it was made with something 'mushroom' -- maybe cream of chicken?? or that might be yucky? Guess I'll have to think about it...

  4. For those who don't like cream of mushroom soup, you can also add cream of chicken or celery, or even chicken or beef broth...all with great success!!!

    ENJOY!!!
